Report for the National Youth Summit Forum in Machakos

The National youth Summit hosted 200 young accountable leaders from Kitui, Kiambu, Kajiado Nairobi, Tharakanithi, Kitui, Makueni and Machakos Counties. The youth represented diverse background in terms of viewpoints and life orientation. They provided opportunity for great learning in terms of sharing experiences, challenges and best practices within their regions of origin.

The youth were able to clearly understand purpose and motivation behind the initiative. In the end the young accountable leaders felt the urgency of now, to take lead in the change process and anchor their efforts on the opportunity provided by the devolved government. As we continue with the regional Forums, this initiative is proving very effective on the areas of training the youth on Leadership, Peace, Entrepreneurship and Creation of Community Action Cells.
